New Delhi: Zepto, the leading quick-commerce platform in India, recently unveiled its “Unpacked” report for 2024, offering a fascinating glimpse into the year’s order trends and customer behaviors. The report highlights key achievements, including India’s largest domestic fundraise, the launch of Zepto Café, and the introduction of Super Saver, while also shedding light on some truly unique ordering patterns.
A Year in Orders: From Pet Food to Poojas
The report revealed a diverse range of customer preferences, from the practical to the peculiar. A Chennai resident showcased a remarkable appetite for pet care, ordering a staggering 5,234 pet food items throughout the year. In contrast, a Hyderabad resident demonstrated a strong preference for digestive relief, placing an order for 217 Eno packets.
Other notable orders included 12 lakh Lay’s Magic Masala packets in Delhi, 5,544 pouches of curd in Bengaluru, and 707 pooja essentials in Gurugram. In a more unusual turn, a Pune resident ordered a whopping 768 carrots, while a Ghaziabad resident opted for 721 packets of ice.
Late-Night Cravings and Quirky Searches

The report also delved into late-night ordering habits, revealing that over 2 crore snacks were consumed between 12 AM and 4 AM. Bengaluru residents demonstrated a particular fondness for relaxation, ordering 28,000 massagers during those late hours.
Zepto also provided insights into customer searches, with “friends” topping the list at 6,000 searches. Other notable searches included “sukoon” (peace) at 877 and “2 BHK” at 7.
Unusual Order Pairings: From Dumbbells to Dettol
The “Unpacked” report showcased a series of unusual order pairings, reflecting the diverse and quirky preferences of Zepto customers. These included dumbbells with samosas, pooja essentials with tonic water, Zepto Café food paired with pressure cookers, knives with Dettol, and momos with chocolate syrup.
Delivery Prowess: Speed and Distance
Zepto highlighted its impressive delivery speed, with the fastest delivery completed in a mere 25 seconds. Furthermore, delivery partners collectively traveled an astonishing 34 crore kilometers, equivalent to 8,000 rounds of Earth.
