New Delhi: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) today announced significant changes to its leadership team, granting additional responsibilities to three key executives.
Nachiket Pantvaidya, who currently serves as the General Manager of Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP), India, will now also oversee the operations of Sony TV. Pantvaidya is a seasoned media veteran with a rich history in the industry, including previous stints as Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television and Group CEO at Balaji Telefilms.
Ajay Bhalwankar, currently heading Sony Marathi, will expand his role to include the responsibilities of Business Head for Sony Sab. Bhalwankar brings a wealth of experience in the television industry, having worked at Zee and Sony Entertainment Television in various creative and leadership capacities.

Tushar Shah, Sony’s Chief Marketing Officer and Business Head for the English Movies, Infotainment, and Bengali Channels, will take on an additional role as Business Head for SET Max, Sony’s Hindi movie channel. Shah has been a pivotal figure at Sony Pictures for nearly 15 years, contributing significantly to the network’s growth and success.
These leadership changes come on the heels of the announcement that Neeraj Vyas, the current Business Head for Sony Entertainment Television, Sony SAB, PAL, and Sony MAX Movie Cluster, will be stepping down from his position on August 31, 2024.
With these strategic appointments, SPNI aims to strengthen its position in the Indian television market and drive growth across its various channels.
