New Delhi: In a significant blow to ABP News, the channel has lost another key figure. Abhishek Upadhyay, the Senior Editor (Political Affairs), has tendered his resignation, following the departure of Channel Head Sant Prasad.
Upadhyay, known for his incisive reporting and investigative journalism, was a pivotal member of the ABP News team. He had been on a tour of the northeastern states to cover the ongoing unrest in Manipur when he learned of Prasad’s resignation.
His departure comes at a particularly challenging time for ABP News. Upadhyay was instrumental in keeping the channel at the forefront of news coverage with his groundbreaking stories. His resignation is a significant setback for the organization.

Prior to joining ABP News, Upadhyay worked as an Executive Editor at TV9 Bharatvarsh for approximately three years. Before that, he held the position of Editor (Special Projects) at India TV.
Upadhyay’s journalistic career spans over two decades. He has also worked with institutions like Dainik Bhaskar and IBN 7. His journey began in 2003 at Amar Ujala as a trainee reporter/sub-editor.
The reasons behind Upadhyay’s resignation are not yet clear. However, his departure, coupled with the recent exit of Sant Prasad, raises questions about the future direction of ABP News.
