New Delhi: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology, Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, today launched a pair of captivating songs dedicated to the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025.
The first song, “Mahakumbh Hai,” produced by Doordarshan, is a soulful rendition by Padma Shri Kailash Kher. This musical masterpiece, composed by Kshitij Tarey with lyrics penned by Aalok Shrivastav, captures the essence of the Mahakumbh – a vibrant confluence of faith, tradition, and celebration. Blending traditional melodies with contemporary arrangements, “Mahakumbh Hai” is a heartfelt tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage. The official music video is now available on Doordarshan and its digital platforms.

In addition, the Minister also inaugurated a special composition by Akashvani dedicated to the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. This unique song, featuring the soulful vocals of Ratan Prasanna and the music of Santosh Nahar and Ratan Prasanna, beautifully encapsulates the spiritual and cultural significance of this momentous event. The inspiring lyrics, penned by Abhinay Shrivastava, evoke the deep spiritual connection with the divine, highlighting the sacred act of taking a dip at the Triveni Sangam.
These songs serve as a melodious prelude to the Mahakumbh 2025, inviting devotees and music lovers alike to immerse themselves in the spirit of this grand celebration.
