New Delhi: To commemorate the first anniversary of National Space Day, the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organized a captivating multimedia exhibition at the National Rail Museum in Chanakyapuri. The event showcased India’s remarkable strides in space exploration, aiming to inspire and educate young minds.
The exhibition, which opened on August 23, featured state-of-the-art technological modules including Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), offering visitors an immersive experience. Students from schools across Delhi were invited to explore the exhibits and learn about India’s achievements in space research.

The theme for the first National Space Day, “Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga,” highlighted the country’s significant accomplishments in space exploration, including the successful landing of the Pragyan rover on the moon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the designation of August 23 as National Space Day to honor this historic feat.
The exhibition served as a platform to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). By showcasing India’s space program, the CBC aimed to foster a sense of national pride and encourage innovation.
