New Delhi: Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre today marked National Doctors’ Day with an inspiring and deeply moving event, paying homage to the tireless dedication and profound sacrifices of India’s medical fraternity. The celebration, held at the hospital premises, brought together doctors, trustees, and staff in a powerful display of gratitude and admiration.
This year’s theme, “Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers,” resonated profoundly throughout the ceremony, underscoring Lilavati’s steadfast commitment to patient-centric, compassionate care. The event not only acknowledged the exceptional skills and unwavering dedication of medical professionals but also celebrated their remarkable resilience, empathy, and personal sacrifices in navigating the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare challenges.
The solemn proceedings commenced with a heartfelt homage to those who tragically lost their lives in a recent plane crash, setting a poignant tone for the day. This was followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a soul-stirring prayer dance performed by the hospital’s own doctors, symbolizing hope and healing.
