New Delhi: In a significant move reflecting the recent acquisition by Zurich Insurance Group, Kotak General Insurance has officially rebranded to Zurich Kotak General Insurance. The new name and identity underscore the combined strengths, values, and commitment of both companies to deliver exceptional insurance solutions to the Indian market.
The rebranding comes on the heels of Zurich Insurance Group acquiring a majority stake in Kotak General Insurance in June 2024. This strategic partnership aims to leverage Zurich’s global expertise and Kotak’s deep-rooted local knowledge to drive growth and innovation in the Indian insurance sector.

Suresh Agarwal, managing director and CEO of Zurich Kotak General Insurance, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the company’s commitment to enhancing insurance penetration in India through technology, scale, and global best practices. “We will continue to prioritize customer needs and build a responsible, impactful, and leading general insurer,” he stated.
To further strengthen its leadership and strategic direction, Zurich Kotak General Insurance has also reconstituted its board of directors. The new board members bring a wealth of experience and expertise in global markets, risk management, and customer-focused strategies. Srinivas Injeti (IAS) has been appointed as the chairman, while D Sundaram and Ravi Venkataraman will serve as independent directors. Other notable additions to the board include Tulsi Naidu, Mathew Reilly, Pushan Mohapatra, Gaurang Shah, and Jaideep Hansraj.
