New Delhi: In a swift move against online piracy and gambling, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 20 locations across India. The target? “magicwin.games,” a website accused of illegally streaming the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 matches and facilitating betting.
Raids, conducted with Gujarat Police, followed an FIR alleging financial losses to official broadcaster Star India due to magicwin’s unauthorized streaming. Investigators believe free access to matches, including India vs Pakistan, was a ploy to lure viewers into betting.
