New Delhi: In a bold act of cyberterrorism, hackers have breached the website of Zee Media Corporation Limited, a prominent Indian news broadcasting company. The attack, believed to be a direct response to the channel’s coverage of recent events in Bangladesh, has left the website inaccessible to visitors.
The homepage of Zee Media’s website now displays a defiant message from the hackers, accusing the news channel of “making fun of the situation in Bangladesh.” The message further threatens more severe consequences if Zee Media continues its “dirty behavior.”
The hackers, identifying themselves as SYSTEMADMINBD, a notorious hacktivist group, have also seized control of the website’s webserver. The group’s previous targets have included government websites in Bangladesh and India, as well as businesses in Israel and Europe.

While the extent of the breach remains unclear, the attack has raised serious concerns about the security of Indian media organizations and the potential for cyberattacks to be used as a tool for political retribution.
As investigations into the incident continue, Zee Media has not yet issued a public statement regarding the hack.
