New Delhi: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced the appointment of Gaurav Banerjee as its new managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Banerjee succeeds NP Singh, who has successfully led the company for 25 years and will transition to the role of non-executive chairman.
A seasoned media executive with a proven track record, Banerjee brings a wealth of experience to SPNI. Prior to joining the company, he held key leadership positions at Disney India, where he oversaw various content and business operations. His most recent role was as the head of content for Hindi Entertainment and Disney+ Hotstar.
In his new role, Banerjee will be responsible for driving SPNI’s strategic direction and overseeing its operations across India. His appointment comes at a crucial time for the company as it continues to navigate the evolving media landscape and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
