Press Council of India Takes Action Against Frontline Magazine for Incorrect Map

Press Council of India takes action against Frontline Magazine for incorrect India map on cover.
The Press Council of India has issued a show-cause notice to Frontline Magazine for displaying an incorrect map of India on its cover.

New Delhi: The Press Council of India (PCI) has initiated a suo-motu inquiry into the alleged incorrect depiction of India’s map on the cover page of Frontline Magazine’s August 10-23, 2024 issue.

In a significant move, PCI Chairperson Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai has issued a show-cause notice to the magazine’s editor. This development comes after the council took cognizance of the matter on its own accord.
