New Delhi: The News Broadcasters Federation (NBF), India’s largest broadcast news body, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday to discuss critical issues in the industry. The meeting, held at the PM’s residence, also included Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Led by Arnab Goswami, the NBF delegation outlined challenges such as technological advancements and the need for a future-ready roadmap. The discussion emphasized aligning the media sector with India’s democratic values while innovating in content delivery.

Key industry leaders from national and regional media outlets participated, including Barun Das (TV9 Group), Riniki Bhuyan Sarma (Pride East Entertainments), and Kartikeya Sharma (ITV Network).
Earlier, the delegation met with Minister Vaishnaw for a detailed briefing. The NBF represents over 70 broadcasters across 14 languages and 25 states, playing a vital role in India’s media landscape.
