New Delhi: JioCinema, the official streaming platform for the TATA IPL, has concluded another blockbuster season, achieving a record-breaking reach of 2,600 crore views during the 2024 TATA IPL season. This represents a phenomenal 53% increase from the previous year. In its second season as the digital home for the IPL, JioCinema also recorded over 35,000 crore minutes of watch-time, underscoring its dominance in the sports streaming space.
Exponential Growth in Viewership
Building on the momentum from an impressive opening night, JioCinema’s reach soared by over 38%, culminating in a staggering 62 crore viewers by the season’s end. This growth was fueled by the platform’s diverse offerings, including 12 language feeds, 4K streaming, multi-camera angles, and an immersive stadium-like experience through AR/VR and 360-degree viewing. The average viewing time per user also increased to 75 minutes from 60 minutes last season, reflecting the platform’s enhanced engagement.

The 2024 season kicked off with a bang, as JioCinema logged over 11.3 crore viewers on Day 1, marking a 51% jump from the opening day of the 2023 season. This surge resulted in 59 crore video views and 660 crore minutes of watch-time on the very first day, setting the tone for a record-setting season.
