New Delhi: Galaxy Health Insurance Co Ltd has announced the appointment of G. Srinivasan as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO). Srinivasan brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served in leadership positions within the Indian insurance industry for over four decades.
Galaxy Health Insurance, a newly established standalone health insurer, is a joint venture between the TVS Group and the family of V. Jagannathan, the founder of Star Health & Allied Insurance Co. Ltd. The company recently received a license from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) to operate in the health insurance market.
Srinivasan’s extensive career includes stints at United India Insurance Co. Ltd. and New India Assurance Co. Ltd., where he played a pivotal role in leading the company’s public listing. He has also served on the boards of various insurance and financial institutions, including GIC Re and the General Insurance Council.

Joining Srinivasan on the Galaxy Health Insurance board are Dr. Sai Satish, a renowned cardiologist, and Mr. Sudarshan Venu, the Managing Director of TVS Motor Company. The company’s focus will be on providing exceptional healthcare services to its customers and fostering a family-oriented work culture.
