New Delhi: In a proactive effort to address the concerning rise in suicide incidents within the Delhi Metro premises, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness about mental well-being.
On World Suicide Prevention Day, the DMRC strategically placed banners and digital displays at prominent metro stations, including Rajiv Chowk, Janakpuri West, Central Secretariat, and Netaji Subhash Place. These displays feature uplifting messages such as “The next station is of happiness, the doors will open on your side” and “The next station is of success/courage, the doors will open on your side.”
The campaign extends beyond physical signage, leveraging social media platforms to engage the public and foster open conversations about mental health. By encouraging individuals to seek help and support, rather than resorting to drastic measures, the DMRC aims to cultivate a supportive environment for commuters.
