New Delhi: CNBC-TV18, India’s leading business and financial news channel, has announced the promotion of Komal Desai to Senior Manager, Brand Marketing. Desai, who previously held the position of Manager of Marketing (Brand Team Lead), brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her new role.
Desai joined CNBC-TV18 in January 2020 as Deputy Manager of Marketing and quickly rose through the ranks. She has a strong background in brand management, strategic alliances, and content creation. Desai excels in developing brand IPs (intellectual properties) and marquee properties, maximizing revenue for the network.
One of Desai’s key achievements has been the successful launch and ongoing management of “Future. Female. Forward – The Women’s Collective,” a flagship initiative focused on gender parity. This program is currently in its second season, highlighting Desai’s dedication to impactful brand building.

Her educational background includes an MBA in Media & Entertainment and a PGD in Advertising and Brand Management.
Prior to joining CNBC-TV18, Desai honed her skills at The Times Of India’s entertainment and lifestyle arm, managing brands like Filmfare, Femina, Lonely Planet, TopGear India, HELLO!, and Grazia. She also held the position of Senior Executive of Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Carnival Cinemas.
