New Delhi: Senior Journalist Padmaja Joshi, who recently bid adieu to Times Now, is likely to join TV9 Network as an executive editor. Atleast three sources within TV9 Bharatvarsh have revealed that Joshi will soon be seen hosting a 7 PM show on News 9, along with another program on TV9 Bharatvarsh. She is expected to assume her new role starting August 1st, 2024
Padmaja Joshi, a senior journalist, recently resigned from her position as Senior Anchor and Senior Executive Editor at Times Now in June.
Joshi’s journalism journey began as a reporter before she transitioned to anchoring at Star News, now known as ABP News. In 2007, she joined X News as a producer, further honing her skills in the industry. Her career trajectory saw a significant uptick when she moved to Headlines Today, now India Today TV, where she served as an Anchor and Associate Executive Producer for about six years.

In 2014, Joshi made her debut at Times Now as a News Editor, quickly establishing herself as a key figure in the newsroom. She rejoined the channel in 2019 as the Senior Executive Editor, a role she held with distinction until her recent departure.
The move to TV9 Network is seen as a strategic decision both for Joshi and the network. TV9 Network, a prominent player in the Indian news industry, is continuously striving to strengthen its editorial team and broaden its reach. Joshi’s extensive experience and editorial insight are expected to significantly contribute to this vision.
Although, there has yet to be an official announcement from TV9 Network or Padmaja Joshi, the news comes at a crucial time as TV9 Network aims to enhance its news coverage and viewer engagement. Her presence is anticipated to bring a new dimension to the network’s programming, particularly with her leading prime-time shows.
