New Delhi: In a significant leadership change, the India Today Group announced that BV Rao, currently Group Consulting Editor, Digital, will assume the role of leading all editorial teams effective August 14. This comes as veteran journalist Kamlesh Singh takes a sabbatical after a 16-year stint with the organization.
Rao, known for his digital media expertise, will oversee all editorial operations, with teams reporting directly to him. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to further strengthen the group’s digital footprint. Given Rao’s long-standing professional relationship with Singh, a smooth transition is expected.
Singh, a stalwart of Indian journalism, is recognized for his sharp political analysis and breaking news coverage. While stepping away from the daily grind, he will continue to contribute to the group through Aaj Tak Radio, Lallantop, and digital platforms, focusing on new projects.
