NEW DELHI:- Nautika is preparing to launch Nautika Prride, a next-generation high-speed catamaran positioned to become one of the largest, fastest, and most premium passenger ferries operating in the Andaman Islands.
Built in India and approved by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), the 400-seater vessel has been designed to significantly upgrade inter-island travel across the Andaman archipelago through enhanced passenger comfort, premium hospitality, and modern maritime engineering.

The vessel is expected to cruise at speeds of up to 24 knots, making it among the fastest ferries operating in the region. Nautika Prride has been developed on a double-hull catamaran platform designed for improved open-sea stability, smoother crossings, and greater operational reliability during inter-island travel.
The launch reflects the growing evolution of maritime tourism infrastructure in the Andaman Islands, where increasing tourist footfall and rising demand for premium travel experiences are driving investments in organised ferry and passenger transport systems.
Nautika Prride has been designed around a hospitality-focused travel experience with four onboard travel categories including Luxury, Royal, VIP, and Business Class seating. The vessel will also feature two onboard cafés and dual viewing decks aimed at creating a more immersive and comfortable travel experience for tourists and passengers.

The company said the ferry has been equipped with internationally compliant safety systems including advanced structural integrity protocols, evacuation systems, fire safety mechanisms, and operational safeguards. Nautika also continues to operate under strict weather-monitoring and maritime safety coordination systems across Andaman routes.
Anoop Kumar said the vessel represents the future of Indian maritime travel by combining speed, safety, passenger comfort, and globally benchmarked standards within a modern ferry infrastructure model.

The launch of Nautika Prride also highlights India’s growing capabilities in maritime engineering and high-speed passenger vessel manufacturing under the broader push towards strengthening domestic transport and tourism infrastructure.
Nautika currently operates ferry services connecting key destinations including Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island, and has emerged as one of the prominent private operators within the Andaman maritime tourism ecosystem.
