New Delhi: Reckitt, through its flagship campaign Dettol Banega Swasth India (DBSI), is partnering with leading organizations to promote hygiene and health at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. This collaboration aims to create a “Swachh and Swasth” (clean and healthy) environment at the world’s largest religious gathering, aligning with India’s vision of “Viksit Bharat @ 2047.”
DBSI has a history of supporting Kumbh Melas since 2016, having previously partnered with the Ardh Kumbh and Magh Melas in Varanasi, Nashik, and Ujjain. This year, with an estimated 45 crore devotees expected to attend, the focus will be on integrating hygiene practices seamlessly into the spiritual and cultural traditions of the event.
To ensure widespread impact, DBSI will deploy health and hygiene volunteers across all 25 sectors of the Mela. Special attention will be given to “Kalpvasis,” devotees who stay for the entire 45 days, with the provision of hygiene products and awareness messages. Engaging street plays (Nukkad Nataks) will further reinforce the importance of handwashing for good health.
Gaurav Jain, Executive Vice President, Reckitt – South Asia, emphasized that health and well-being are crucial for community progress. The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 presents a unique opportunity to embed hygiene practices into this significant event, contributing towards the vision of a cleaner and healthier India.
