Zairus Master, instrumental in shaping Honasa Consumer's growth strategy, has stepped down as Chief Business Officer. This follows recent departures at the parent company of brands like Mamaearth and BBlunt.

New Delhi: Zairus Master, the Chief Business Officer of Honasa Consumer, the parent company of popular brands such as Mamaearth and BBlunt, has resigned from his position. The company made this announcement through a regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Master, a seasoned industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, joined Honasa Consumer in August 2021. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s omni-channel growth strategy. He was also responsible for managing investment allocation across the company’s diverse portfolio of brands, categories, and distribution channels. Prior to joining Honasa, Master held leadership positions at prominent companies like Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, and Nokia.

Master’s departure follows a series of recent exits at Honasa Consumer. In October 2023, Jayant Chauhan, the company’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, resigned citing personal reasons. Earlier, Abhiishekk Raj Pandey, the Senior Vice President of Commerce, also left the company to pursue his own entrepreneurial endeavors.

Mamaearth, the flagship brand of Honasa Consumer, is a significant contributor to the company’s revenue, accounting for approximately 65% of its overall sales. The company also owns and operates a diverse portfolio of other well-known brands, including The Derma Co, BBlunt, Dr. Sheth’s, Aqualogica, and Staze 9to9.

This news comes at a time when Honasa Consumer is navigating a challenging market environment. The company, like many others in the consumer goods sector, is facing headwinds from rising inflation and slowing consumer demand.
