New Delhi: In a significant move, Tarun Chaudhary has been appointed as the Executive Vice President and Head of North India operations at Rediffusion. Chaudhary, who will be based at the agency’s Gurgaon office, will oversee the Delhi and Chandigarh offices, marking his return to the company where he began his illustrious career.
Chaudhary brings with him 25 years of rich experience across various domains including advertising, sports marketing, consumer tech, digital media, and event management. His journey in the industry began in 1998 at Rediffusion’s Bangalore office, followed by a tenure in Delhi. Over the years, he has worked with renowned ad agencies such as Mudra, JWT, and DaikoFHO.
Throughout his career, Chaudhary has managed campaigns for both Indian and multinational brands like Nestle, Godfrey Phillips, PNB Housing Finance, Kenstar, Electrolux, Mitsubishi Motors, Philips, BPL, McDowell’s, Hain Celestial, Central Park, Krisumi, and many others. His expertise in sports marketing is notable, having set up the Sports Marketing division at Dentsu in 2008, where he launched the Indian Fantasy League, a mass fantasy gaming portal. He also established the Sports Marketing and Events division at Innocean in 2011, spearheading Hyundai’s sponsorship of the 2011 Cricket World Cup and setting up FC Barcelona’s India project.

In addition to his advertising and marketing roles, Chaudhary served as the CEO of Indian Aces, the Indian franchise in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL), further solidifying his reputation as a versatile leader in the industry.
Sandeep Goyal, Chairman of Rediffusion, expressed his enthusiasm about Chaudhary’s return to the company. “We welcome Tarun back to Rediffusion and wish him every success in his role as a regional leader at Rediffusion. Tarun and I have worked together before. He’s very mature and a dependable pair of hands,” Goyal stated.
Commenting on his new role, Chaudhary said, “Delhi for Rediffusion is an office undergoing rapid growth. I am honoured to be leading the march and hope we will be able to achieve both impressive numbers as well as create some great work.”
This appointment comes on the heels of another significant hire for Rediffusion, with Adrian Mendonza recently being named Head of Creative at the Gurgaon office. Chaudhary will collaborate closely with Mendonza to drive the North operations forward.
