NEW DELHI:- Palki Sharma has announced the launch of a new global media company titled India Global Review (IGR), marking a significant development in India’s evolving digital news and international affairs landscape.
Positioned as a digital-first media platform focused on world affairs from an Indian perspective, India Global Review aims to expand across key international regions including the United States, Europe, West Asia, South Asia, and Africa. The platform is expected to be available across major internet platforms as well as connected television ecosystems, signalling an ambitious global distribution strategy.
According to the announcement, the company has already secured backing from institutional investors, providing financial support as it enters its operational phase and prepares for international expansion. The move reflects growing confidence in globally focused Indian media platforms catering to audiences seeking international news and analysis through an Indian lens.
Speaking on the launch, Palki Sharma stated that India is increasingly shaping global conversations and emphasised that the platform’s focus would remain on facts, context, and perspective in an increasingly polarised media environment. She noted that the goal of India Global Review is to build an independent and credible platform that brings clarity to global affairs.
The company has also initiated hiring across editorial, digital, and production roles in multiple geographies, indicating plans to establish international bureaus and a wider reporting network as part of its global operations strategy.

Palki Sharma brings more than two decades of experience across television, print, and digital journalism. She recently stepped down from her role as Managing Editor at Firstpost under Network18 Group before announcing the launch of IGR.
The launch comes at a time when digital-first journalism and global news consumption patterns are undergoing rapid transformation, with independent media brands increasingly investing in direct audience engagement, cross-platform distribution, and internationally relevant editorial formats.
