New Delhi: Fast-food giant McDonald’s has launched a new campaign featuring none other than WWE legend John Cena to unveil its refreshed McValue Menu. The campaign, created by Wieden+Kennedy New York, features Cena delivering an inspirational message about the menu’s affordability and the possibilities it unlocks.
The 16-time WWE World Champion highlights the $5 meal deal, in-app bargains, local specials, and the irresistible “buy one, add one for $1” offer. Cena concludes the commercial with his signature “You can’t see me” hand gesture and a powerful message: “You see, at any moment of the day, McValue can take you to a place where a whole new menu of possibilities exists, inspiring you to order more from life than you could ever imagine.”
This campaign comes at a poignant time as Cena prepares to retire from the WWE. The partnership adds a nostalgic touch for both Cena and McDonald’s fans, especially considering Cena’s long-standing love for the fast-food chain.

In a previous interview with People’s Magazine, Cena shared his deep connection with McDonald’s, stating, “McDonald’s is a global phenomenon, a slice of Americana and certainly has been a major part of my life with food ever since I can remember anything about food.” He fondly recalled relying on McDonald’s during his extensive WWE tours, particularly the double cheeseburger and McNuggets, as a convenient and satisfying late-night option.
This campaign is also seen as a strategic move by McDonald’s to regain consumer trust following recent global boycotts. Cena’s global popularity and iconic status are expected to resonate strongly with audiences worldwide.
Cena’s farewell tour is being live-streamed on Netflix, with the first event taking place during the premiere of WWE Monday Night Raw on January 6, 2025.
