New Delhi: LightFury Games, a rising star in the gaming industry, has unveiled its first studio in Bangalore, India. This significant move is coupled with the announcement of a powerhouse leadership team, solidifying their commitment to create AAA titles with a blend of elite talent from India and the UK.
The Bangalore studio boasts a strategic location near the Bengaluru International Airport and is equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure and technology specifically designed for AAA game development. This 60-seater facility will house a versatile team with the expertise to craft every aspect of AAA games.
Leading the charge is Karan Shroff, CEO & Co-founder of LightFury Games. “This Bangalore studio is our first step towards reshaping the gaming experience in India and establishing the region as a major force in AAA game development,” said Shroff. “The LightFury leadership team has a combined experience of over 40 AAA titles across various genres. We’re constantly looking to strengthen our capabilities by attracting top-tier talent from around the world.”

Sharing the vision is Anurag Banerjee, CPTO and Co-founder of LightFury Games. “It’s time for India to move beyond following trends and become a trendsetter, defining the future of video games,” stated Banerjee. “The Indian gaming industry has immense potential, but it hasn’t reached its full potential yet. The leadership team boasts extensive experience. Justin Farren, a gaming industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, joins LightFury Games as the Chief Creative Officer for the India studio. Farren previously served as a Producer and Creative Director for Ubisoft’s renowned Assassin’s Creed and Skull and Bones series. Most recently, he held the position of Executive Producer and Product Director at Wargaming.

Adding to the leadership team are Chong-U Lim, the Chief Technology Officer, and Daniel Hall, the Vice President of Engineering. Lim brings over 14 years of experience in technical engineering, with a strong background in AI, machine learning, and procedural content generation. Hall, with over 12 years in the gaming industry, has extensive experience developing technology frameworks for multiplayer games.
