New Delhi: Disney+ Hotstar, India’s leading streaming platform, has announced the promotion of Gazal Maheshwari to Vertical Head – LCS Sales. Maheshwari brings a wealth of experience within the Disney Star organization to this new position.
Previously serving as Associate Director at Star Sports (Disney Star) from May 2023 to July 2024, Maheshwari expressed her enthusiasm for the new opportunity on LinkedIn. “I’m thrilled to embark on this new journey as Vertical Head – LCS Sales at Disney+ Hotstar,” Maheshwari wrote in her LinkedIn post. “I’m incredibly grateful for the rewarding experiences and cherished memories at Star Sports, and I’m eager to dive into this exciting new chapter filled with fresh challenges and opportunities at Disney+ Hotstar.”

Maheshwari’s career with Disney Star began in April 2011 when she joined the Ad Sales team for Star Jalsha and Jalsha Movies. Over the years, she has held various roles within the organization, demonstrating her versatility and strong understanding of the media and entertainment industry.
Prior to Disney Star, Maheshwari gained valuable experience in sales and marketing. She held the position of Assistant Manager – Product at Altruist Technologies Ltd from June 2010 to April 2011. Earlier in her career, she completed a Sales and Marketing Management Trainee program at Star India Pvt Ltd. Her professional journey began with an internship at CNN IBN (Network 18) as a Summer Intern in April 2008.
With her extensive background and proven track record within the Disney Star organization, Gazal Maheshwari is well-positioned to lead the LCS Sales team at Disney+ Hotstar.
