Mumbai: Anupriya Singh has officially rejoined the music industry, announcing her new role as the Head of Catalogue Business at Believe Music. With over 12 years of experience in music and entertainment marketing, Singh is set to lead the business and marketing efforts for acquired catalogue labels at Believe, including Ishtar Music and Ishtar Punjabi.

A Fresh Start After 2.5 Years

After a 2.5-year break from the industry, Singh expressed her excitement about returning to the world of music. “It feels great to be back in the world of music,” she shared on her LinkedIn profile. Singh is eager to reconnect with her industry peers while also forging new relationships to maximize the potential of the catalogues under her leadership.

In her new role, Singh will focus on creating valuable partnerships and exploring innovative collaborations across the music industry. “The music business has evolved significantly, and I’m thrilled to bring fresh perspectives while building upon my previous experience,” she added.

Leading Major Labels at Believe

Singh’s responsibilities at Believe Music will include leading business and marketing initiatives for acquired catalogue labels, such as Ishtar Music (formerly Venus Music) and Ishtar Punjabi (formerly White Hill Music). She is tasked with driving innovative marketing strategies that will not only promote the catalogues but also create meaningful collaborations and partnerships across the music landscape.

An Extensive Career in Music and Marketing

Singh’s appointment comes as no surprise, given her extensive background in the music and entertainment industry. Before joining Believe, she was the Associate Director of Marketing for APAC and UK at Zee5 Global, one of the largest South Asian OTT platforms. There, she led marketing efforts, strategic partnerships, and content promotions that contributed to revenue generation and subscriber growth.

Prior to her role at Zee5, Singh was integral to the success of JioSaavn’s in-house label, Artist Originals, where she led marketing, distribution, and artist relations. She also played a key role at Sony Music India, where she managed Bollywood Repertoire and co-led marketing strategies for over 60 Bollywood soundtracks and independent pop artists.

Singh’s return to the music industry at a time of rapid transformation presents an exciting opportunity for Believe Music. With her wealth of experience and passion for creating engaging content campaigns, Singh is well-equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of the music business.
