New Delhi: In a significant development, seasoned media and broadcasting veteran Ajay Sharma has joined Prasar Bharati. With over two decades of leadership experience, Sharma is expected to spearhead the public broadcaster’s corporate, government, and retail sales efforts.
Sharma, known for his expertise in turning around businesses and driving growth, will report to DDG Sanjay Prasad. His role will be pivotal as Prasar Bharati and Doordarshan accelerate their expansion plans under the dynamic leadership of Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
With a career spanning leading media houses like The Pioneer, The Indian Express, India TV, ABP News Network, News Nation, and Zee Media Corporation, Sharma brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His strong background in government relations, strategic alliances, and channel management is expected to be instrumental in boosting Prasar Bharati’s revenue generation.
