MV Shreyams Kumar has been appointed as the new President of INS

MV Shreyams Kumar has been elected as INS President, with Vivek Gupta and others joining the new leadership team, aiming to strengthen the future of print media in India.
In a pivotal leadership transition, MV Shreyams Kumar takes the helm of the Indian Newspaper Society, joined by a new executive team dedicated to advancing the interests of print media in India.

New Delhi: The Indian Newspaper Society (INS), a prominent organization representing publishers across India, has officially elected MV Shreyams Kumar from Mathrubhumi as its new President. He takes over the position from Rakesh Sharma of Aaj Samaj, marking an important change in the organization’s leadership.

Alongside Kumar’s election, other key appointments were made. Vivek Gupta from Sanmarg has been elected as Deputy President, while Karan Rajendra Darda of Lokmat has assumed the role of Vice-President. Tanmay Maheshwari of Amar Ujala has been designated as Honorary Treasurer, playing a crucial role in managing the society’s financial matters.

Mary Paul will continue to serve as Secretary General, providing stability and continuity in the leadership team as the organization adapts to the challenges facing print media today.

The INS is instrumental in shaping the future of India’s print industry, advocating for the interests of publishers and promoting the significance of traditional media in an increasingly digital landscape.

In addition to the presidential election, the INS has formed its Executive Committee for the year 2024-25, featuring a diverse group of influential figures from various media outlets. The committee includes:
