New Delhi: Renowned journalist Umesh Upadhyay passed away after a fatal fall from the fourth floor of a building in south Delhi’s Vasant Kunj. The incident occurred during the renovation of his residence, where construction work was underway.
The police said Upadhyay was inspecting the progress of the renovation when he accidentally slipped and fell from the fourth to the second floor. He sustained severe head injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive.
Upadhyay, who was 64 years old, had a distinguished career spanning over four decades in the media industry. He made significant contributions to television, print, radio, and digital journalism, holding key positions in several prominent media organizations.
