New Delhi: The Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI) hosted its annual flagship event, PRologue 2024, on July 25 in Gurgaon. The event brought together over 300 communication and business professionals to discuss the evolving landscape of public relations in India.

Industry Growth Forecast

A key highlight of the event was the release of initial findings from the SPRINT 2024 survey, conducted in collaboration with IPSOS. The survey predicts a robust 19.6% growth for the Indian PR industry in FY 2022-2023. Building on this momentum, PRCAI envisions the industry reaching a substantial ₹2,500 crore mark in the upcoming financial year.

Reimagining Communications

The central theme of PRologue 2024 was “Reimagining Communications in a Turbulent World.” Panel discussions delved into the challenges and opportunities presented by the rapidly changing landscape, including the impact of technology, AI, and evolving consumer behavior.

Cracking the Gen Z Code

Given the significant Gen Z population in India, understanding and engaging with this demographic emerged as a critical focus. Industry leaders, including Sushant Dash, CEO of Tata Starbucks, emphasized the importance of adapting communication strategies to resonate with Gen Z’s unique values and preferences.

Navigating the AI Tightrope

Another key discussion centered around the role of AI in the PR industry. Panelists explored the potential benefits and risks associated with AI, highlighting the need for a balanced approach to harness its power while mitigating misinformation.

SABRE South Asia Awards

Concurrently with PRologue 2024, the prestigious SABRE South Asia Awards recognized outstanding PR campaigns. Vineeta Singh, CEO & Co-Founder of SUGAR Cosmetics, was honored with the coveted CEO of the Year award.

PRCAI’s Commitment to Industry Growth

Deeptie Sethi, CEO of PRCAI, expressed the association’s dedication to fostering industry growth through initiatives like skill development, standardized guidelines, and ethical practices. The launch of a new client-consultancy partnership charter and code of conduct underscores PRCAI’s commitment to elevating industry standards.

Guinness World Record

In a unique endeavor, PRCAI partnered with Guinness World Records to create a new record for the most signatures collected on a t-shirt in 60 minutes. This initiative aimed to emphasize the importance of upskilling the next generation of PR professionals.
