Renowned tech journalist and former DRDO scientist, Anand Parthasarathy, is no more. His contributions to Indian tech media will be deeply missed.

New Delhi: Indian tech journalism is in mourning after the passing of Anand Parthasarathy on August 13th. A true pioneer, Parthasarathy was known for his sharp analysis and commitment to covering India’s booming tech sector.

Before his journalistic career, Parthasarathy spent 20 years as a distinguished scientist with DRDO, contributing to projects like the Indian Missile Programme. This unique background provided valuable perspective for his later work.

An alumnus of COEP Pune and Birmingham University with a Master’s in Systems Engineering, Parthasarathy transitioned seamlessly to journalism in 1994. For eight years, he informed readers of The Hindu and The Hindu Businessline about India’s rapidly evolving tech scene.

Parthasarathy’s passion extended beyond reporting. He authored books on e-governance and established Online India Tech Pvt Ltd, a platform for tech news and communication services.
