New Delhi: In a poignant tribute to the 25th anniversary of the Kargil War, DocuBay is set to premiere a gripping documentary titled “Kargil 1999: The Untold Story of the Indian Air Force” on Independence Day. The film offers a never-before-seen glimpse into the pivotal role played by the Indian Air Force during the conflict.
The documentary made its debut in Delhi on August 9th, with the presence of esteemed Air Force officials and veterans who were instrumental in the operation. It joins DocuBay’s diverse content lineup, featuring real-life stories that span technology, culture, society, and crime.
“Kargil 1999” delves deep into the Indian Air Force’s strategic mastery during the critical Operation Safed Sagar in May 1999. The film showcases the deployment of top-tier personnel and advanced machinery in the challenging terrain above 15,000 feet. It also highlights the groundbreaking introduction of laser-guided bombs, underscoring the IAF’s technological prowess.

Girish Dwibhashyam, COO of DocuBay, expressed his pride in collaborating with the Indian Air Force for this project. He believes the documentary will captivate not only defense and aviation enthusiasts but also a global audience seeking inspiring tales of courage and innovation.
The film features firsthand accounts from real-life IAF heroes, complemented by rare footage and personal diaries. These elements bring to life the unseen challenges and triumphs of the operation, paying homage to the bravery and ingenuity of the Indian Air Force.

He highlighted that “Kargil 1999” is the first of its kind to document Operation Safed Sagar in detail. The film aims to honor the sacrifices made by these heroes and underscore their indispensable contribution to India’s victory.
“Kargil 1999: The Untold Story of the Indian Air Force” is a joint production by Media Indica and Juggernaut Productions. The documentary will be available for streaming on DocuBay from August 15, 2024.
