New Delhi: Deepinder Goyal, the founder and CEO of Zomato, has announced his departure from the popular reality show Shark Tank India. His decision comes after Swiggy, Zomato’s primary competitor, secured the sponsorship rights for the upcoming fourth season.
Goyal revealed that Swiggy had requested his removal as part of the sponsorship agreement, citing potential conflicts of interest. In a fireside chat with Economic Times during the ET Startup Awards 2024, Goyal expressed his disappointment with the situation, stating, “I went there to set a different narrative, be real and change how people perceive.”
