New Delhi: Atul Chaudhary has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), following the retirement of V. Raghunandan on May 31. The announcement marks a significant shift in the regulatory body’s leadership.
Chaudhary, who previously held the position of Deputy Director General (DDG) at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His tenure at DoT was marked by significant contributions to the telecommunications sector, emphasizing policy development and implementation.
In addition to his role at DoT, Chaudhary has also served at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in 2021, where he played a crucial part in advancing the country’s digital identity framework.
