New Delhi: The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Academy, the training and thought leadership arm of ASCI, has launched Hindi versions of its two flagship e-learning courses: The ASCI Guide to Responsible Advertising and The Responsible Influencing Playbook. This initiative aims to make industry-relevant training more accessible to a wider audience, particularly those who prefer to learn in Hindi or cater to Hindi-speaking consumers.
Originally introduced in English in April 2024, these courses are designed to equip professionals in advertising, marketing, and influencing with the knowledge and tools to create trustworthy brands while ensuring compliance with advertising regulations. With a significant portion of the advertising landscape operating in Hindi, these courses are crucial for ensuring that campaigns and endorsements in this language adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Manisha Kapoor, CEO and Secretary General of ASCI, emphasized the importance of these courses, stating, “The growing scrutiny on advertisements and endorsements underscores the need to protect consumer interests. Many violations, even unintentional, stem from a lack of awareness. These courses empower participants to understand and comply with regulations, build strong relationships with their audiences, and foster brand trust.”

The ASCI Guide to Responsible Advertising provides advertisers, agencies, and marketers with a comprehensive understanding of ASCI’s self-regulatory framework. By focusing on real-world examples and practical guidance, the course helps participants avoid misleading claims, adhere to advertising codes, and navigate the evolving regulatory landscape.
The Responsible Influencing Playbook is specifically designed for influencers and professionals involved in influencer marketing. It provides in-depth knowledge of disclosure norms, the importance of authentic endorsements, and compliance with legal and platform-specific guidelines.
Both courses are delivered through interactive modules, making them engaging and easy to follow. Upon successful completion, participants receive certifications that enhance their professional credentials and demonstrate their commitment to responsible practices.
Since its inception, the ASCI Academy has collaborated with over 80 partners, including businesses, industry bodies, and academic institutions, to promote responsible and progressive advertising. The English versions of these courses have already garnered significant interest from leading organizations such as HUL, Mondelez, Himalaya Wellness, and several renowned educational institutions. The launch of the Hindi versions is expected to further expand the reach of these programs and foster a culture of responsibility and trust within the advertising ecosystem.
