New Delhi: Unilever, a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, is set to lose a seasoned veteran as Samir Singh, the current Chair of Unilever Asia and Head of Unilever Singapore Hub, announced his departure after a remarkable 27-year journey with the company.
In a heartfelt LinkedIn post, Singh reflected on his tenure, emphasizing the invaluable experiences and relationships fostered during his time at Unilever and Hindustan Unilever. He attributed his long-standing association with the company to the “small and often overlooked joys of everyday existence” within the organization.
With over two decades of expertise in the Beauty & Personal Care domain, Singh has held pivotal roles across diverse categories and global markets. His illustrious career trajectory includes being a member of the Global Beauty & Personal Care Leadership Team, a Board member of Unilever Asia Pte, and an executive director of the Hindustan Unilever (HUL) Management Committee.

Singh’s journey with Unilever commenced in 1998 as an Area Sales Manager for Hindustan Unilever. His subsequent promotions saw him take on increasingly responsible roles, culminating in his appointment as Chief Marketing Officer for Personal Care in 2022.
While Singh’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter in his career, he has already secured a new role at a company he admires for its brands and values. He is set to join the new organization towards the end of the year after completing his garden leave.
Singh’s departure is undoubtedly a significant loss for Unilever. His contributions to the company’s growth and success over the years have been invaluable. As he embarks on a new chapter, industry observers will be watching with keen interest to see how his experience and expertise will be leveraged in his new role.
