New Delhi: Stellantis, a global automotive leader, has appointed Shailesh Hazela as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD). Hazela steps into this role succeeding Aditya Jairaj, who will be relocating to the United States. The transition between Hazela and Jairaj is set to occur through mid-July.
Hazela brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Previously serving as the Vice-President for Global Purchasing and Supply Chain in the India and Asia Pacific region for Stellantis, he has been instrumental in leveraging the supply base across various regions and developing Stellantis’ supply base in the Indian and Asia Pacific (IAP) region since joining the company in September 2022.

With over 28 years of experience spanning automotive, telecommunication, and railway sectors, Hazela holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering.
Ashwani Muppasani, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Stellantis India and Asia Pacific, expressed the company’s delight in welcoming Hazela and thanked Jairaj for his leadership and contributions. Muppasani emphasized Hazela’s strategic vision and extensive experience, highlighting their potential to drive growth and innovation in the Indian market.
