New Delhi: Zee Media has appointed seasoned journalist Santosh Kumar as the Editor of Zee Bharat, marking his return to the organization. In addition to this pivotal role, Kumar will also take on significant responsibilities within the group’s social media department.
Kumar brings a wealth of experience to Zee Media, having previously served as the social media in-charge for the Uttar Pradesh government, where he was also a member of a team that monitored news channels. This appointment signifies his second tenure with Zee Media.
With nearly 22 years in the media industry, Kumar’s career spans various prestigious roles. He has dedicated almost a decade to ‘Star News’ (now ABP News) and spent nearly eight years with Zee Media in his previous stint. His experience also includes approximately three years at ‘Network18’ and a year with ‘India News’.
During his initial period with Zee Media, Kumar held numerous key positions including Business Reporter, Political Reporter, Parliament Reporter, and Bureau Chief in Jharkhand. He also served as the Bihar Jharkhand Channel Incharge. His role as the Editor of Jharkhand at Network18 further underscores his extensive expertise in regional news coverage.
Santosh Kumar’s extensive background and leadership skills are expected to drive Zee Bharat’s editorial vision and enhance its social media presence, reinforcing Zee Media’s commitment to delivering comprehensive and engaging news content.
