New Delhi: In a notable development for Indian journalism, Sanjay Kaw, one of the most respected voices in the media industry, has joined The Pioneer. With over 30 years of experience, Kaw is best known for his fearless investigative journalism and deep insight into urban affairs and governance.
Kaw first rose to national prominence while working with The Statesman, where he undertook a daring assignment posing as a Kar Sewak to report from Ayodhya during one of the most sensitive and defining moments in India’s recent history. The report not only made national headlines but also marked a turning point in how undercover journalism was perceived in India.
He later went on to head the City Bureau at The Times of India, Delhi, where he led some of the most impactful urban reporting in the country. Under his leadership, the bureau broke several high-profile stories involving corruption, misuse of public office, and systemic failures in civic governance. Many of these stories led to public inquiries, policy revisions, and judicial intervention.
In his most recent stint at The Asian Age and Deccan Chronicle, Kaw continued to report with precision and integrity, earning widespread respect across political and media circles.
Sharing the news of his move, Kaw posted: “After a wonderful association with The Asian Age/ Deccan Chronicle, I am joining The Pioneer Group. Need your blessings.”
