New Delhi: Renowned industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Naval Tata passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 86. The former chairman of the Tata Group, one of India’s most prominent conglomerates, had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier in the week due to age-related health issues.

Tributes poured in from across the globe as news of Tata’s passing spread. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a heartfelt tweet, described Tata as a “visionary business leader, a compassionate soul, and an extraordinary human being.” Congress party also expressed its deep sorrow over the loss of the “titan of Indian industry.”

Tata’s leadership at the Tata Group was marked by his visionary approach and unwavering commitment to excellence. Under his guidance, the conglomerate expanded its global footprint through strategic acquisitions and international partnerships.
