New Delhi: In a significant move, Prasar Bharati has issued a circular announcing the recruitment of new Director Generals for Doordarshan and All India Radio (AIR) for the year 2024. The circular, issued by Prasar Bharati Secretariat, calls for applications from eligible officers across various government bodies.
The circular has been dispatched to the Secretaries of all Ministries and Departments, as well as the Chief Secretaries of all States and Union Territories. It has been requested that this notice be circulated widely among eligible officers within ministries, departments, autonomous bodies, statutory organizations, public sector undertakings, universities, and recognized research institutions.
Recruitment Details
The positions are open for promotion or deputation on a short-term contract basis. Selected officers will be compensated according to Level-16 of the Pay Matrix under the 7th Pay Commission, with a pay scale ranging from ₹2,05,400 to ₹2,24,400.

Application Process
Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications within 45 days from the publication date of the vacancy circular in the Employment News (May 20, 2024). Applications should be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-II) in duplicate and addressed to: Deputy Director (PBRB Cetl)

Required Documentation
Applicants must include the following documents along with their application:
- Complete CR dossier (up-to-date)/photocopy of ACR/APAR of the last five years, attested by an officer of the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent.
- Vigilance clearance certifying that no disciplinary or criminal proceedings are pending or under consideration.
- A certificate of integrity.
- A list of major/minor penalties, if any, imposed during the last ten years.
- A certificate of no penalty signed by an officer below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent.
Important Notes
Officers who applied for the same positions for the year 2023 must reapply if they wish to be considered for the 2024 vacancies. Additionally, incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be considered.
