New Delhi: In a significant development for the Indian media industry, MK Anand, CEO and Managing Director of Times Network, has decided to move on from the organization. This news has been confirmed to Media Noise by Times Network sources.

Rachana Burman, Chief Public Policy & Content Assurance Officer, Times Network, has been given temporary charge in Anand’s absence.

The decision comes as Anand’s management contract term approaches its conclusion. In the transition period, Anand is in the process of disengaging from the various mandates he held at Times Network, ensuring a smooth handover.

Anand’s departure marks the end of a notable chapter in his career at Times Network, where he has been a pivotal figure. With a robust background in the media industry, Anand’s career trajectory includes prominent roles such as CEO of Bloomberg TV India and key positions at UTV. He also served as Managing Director at Disney and ESPN Media Networks, showcasing his versatility and leadership across different media verticals.

Anand is an alumnus of SVKM Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and brings over 25 years of rich experience in print, broadcast, and digital media. Since 2009, he has delivered a remarkable compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 30% as a CEO, highlighting his effectiveness in steering companies toward success.
