New Delhi: Adobe has announced the appointment of Lara Balazs as its new chief marketing officer (CMO) and executive vice president of global marketing. Balazs brings a wealth of experience to Adobe, having previously served as CMO and GM of the strategic partner group at Intuit. In her new role, she will report directly to CEO Shantanu Narayen.
At Intuit, Balazs led brand and go-to-market strategies for the company’s AI-driven financial technology platform. She successfully boosted brand awareness and reputation, demonstrating her ability to drive growth and engagement. Her responsibilities at Adobe will include overseeing all aspects of global marketing, including brand strategy, Adobe.com, events, campaigns, communications, social media, media operations, and marketing insights.

Balazs has a proven track record of success in marketing leadership roles at major global brands. Her career includes key positions at Amazon, Visa, and Nike, where she developed and implemented innovative customer-centric marketing strategies.
She played a crucial role in the growth of Amazon Prime and Visa globally, and spearheaded Visa’s entry into the digital payments era with the launch of mobile-first products like Visa Checkout and Apple Pay. At Intuit, she led the ProTax Group to achieve its highest sustained growth in years and elevated the company’s brand awareness and corporate reputation.
Balazs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law from the University of Washington and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
